At LensLink Media, LLC, we are committed to bridging the gap between budding media artists and local businesses in need of top-notch content. Our mission is to empower Ohio University's students by providing them meaningful experiences that enhance their skills while simultaneously fulfilling the creative needs of our diverse clientele.

Meet the Founders

Starting on a piece of scrap paper in our kitchen, LensLink Media was born with the main mission being to support media art students. With the industry evolving so much every day, we aimed to find a way to give pursuant creative professionals the best shot they can get.  

Our Story

LensLink Media was built by two people with completely different backgrounds and skillsets whose experiences naturally came together to create a shared vision. While pursuing graduate degrees at Ohio University, co-founders Brendon Riley, an MBA student focused on Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship, and Andy McLean, a Master’s candidate in Photojournalism, often found themselves talking about their respective industries and experiences. Andy brought years of hands-on experience in photography, media production, and creative direction, while Brendon brought a background in organizational leadership and was developing a strong understanding of business strategy, marketing, and entrepreneurship through his graduate studies. As Andy spoke more about the creative industry and the challenges many talented media students faced when trying to grow professionally, Brendon began to wonder if there was a better way to connect creatives with meaningful opportunities and real-world experience.

Not long after, while sick with the flu and ordering comfort food, Brendon noticed how many businesses lacked professional-quality product photography and branding content despite offering great products and experiences. Through the lens of his marketing coursework, he immediately recognized how much this impacted brand perception and customer engagement. That moment sparked the idea that would eventually become LensLink Media, and shortly after, Brendon and Andy found themselves standing in their kitchen mapping out the foundation of the company on a scrap piece of paper long before it ever had a name. What started as conversations between two friends quickly evolved into a mission to bridge the gap between talented creatives seeking professional growth and businesses looking for high-quality, accessible media services. Built on creativity, strategy, and genuine relationships, LensLink exists to create opportunities, strengthen connections, and help the community grow through storytelling and visual media.
